Q. Do you provide coupons?
A. We are sorry to disappoint you with the news that we
have established a Company policy not to offer coupons
or samples online or by mail, unless we are running a
special promotion. It is simply too expensive and we
would be inundated with requests.
We hope that you will watch for special coupon and
promotional offers in the Sunday supplement section of
your newspapers and in magazines.
Also check our web site for any special promotions that
are offered throughout the year and to be added to
specific email mailings.
Q. Do you have Gluten Free products?
A. Yes. Click here for
our current list.
Q. Is it necessary to refrigerate Brer
Rabbit and Grandma’s Molasses, Regina Vinegars and
Cooking Wines and Wright’s Liquid Smoke?
A. These products are shelf stable and do not require
refrigeration even after they are opened.
(As a general rule; It is not necessary to refrigerate a
product unless specifically noted on the label).
Q. What is the difference between Brer
Rabbit Mild, Full and Blackstrap Molasses varieties and
Grandma’s Original and Robust Molasses?
A. All Brer Rabbit and Grandma’s Molasses are made from
pure sugar cane juice and are unsulphured. After the
cane is harvested and mashed the raw juices are boiled
to extract the sugar.
Brer Rabbit Mild – is the first boiling – It is light
colored, mild and sweet.
Brer Rabbit Full – is the second boiling – It is darker
in color, more pronounced flavor and a little less
sweet.
Brer Rabbit Blackstrap – is the third boiling – It is
dark and has a somewhat strong bitter flavor.
Grandma’s Original – Highest grade, purest molasses
available. 100% pure, natural sugarcane juices,
clarified (no sugar removed).
Grandma’s Robust – A less sweet product than Original,
darker, richer color.
(Grandma’s does not make a Blackstrap Molasses)
Q. What are the differences between
Brer Rabbit Molasses and Grandma’s Molasses?
A. Grandma’s Original is sweeter than Brer Rabbit Mild.
Grandma’s Robust is sweeter than Brer Rabbit Full.
Grandma’s Robust would be the same as Brer Rabbit Mild.
Q. Is there any alcohol in Regina
Vinegars?
A. No there is not.
U.S. Federal food and Drug Administration (FDA) requires
that products that contain alcohol to indicate the
percent by volume on the front label.
Q. What is the shelf life after best
used by date?
A. Once a product is opened and exposed to light,
contaminants in the air, and temperature changes we
cannot be absolutely certain for how long a product
would be of quality as when it was first filled.
There is no exact answer to this question, too many
variables.
Once opened considering where and how long a product has
been exposed to light, heat, various room temperatures
as well as the actual refrigeration temperature or
storage conditions and when it is stored would determine
how long it could still be safe to use.
But again even if you never opened a product it will
automatically age.
(Provided the packaging has not been compromised). It
does not mean you cannot use the product just that it is
not at the same quality as when filled.
